Monday Evening History of Hull Walking Tour
Monday 12 May 2025, 18:00
Meeting Point - Queen Victoria statue, City Hall, Hull City Centre
Experience 800 years of history with a guided walk of Hull's historic Old Town. The tour highlights the city's rich maritime history, its role in the Civil War, William Wilberforce and the anti-slavery campaign, transmigration as the European gateway to America, and its present day evolution. All told along medieval cobbled streets, and passing landmark buildings such as Hull Minster, Wilberforce House, the Guildhall, City Hall and much more! We will end at a character-filled pub for a meal at the Key and Lion Pub. Duration is approximately one hour at a very leisurely pace - just wear sensible shoes. Guide Paul Schofield, has over 35 years of experience of showing off the city he was born in and loves.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please note that there will be no availability for Gluten free/ Ceoliac friendly food on this tour. If you have any questions about this please email: olivia.jones@srp-uk.org
