SRP Annual Conference 2025

There are many competitions that you can enter at SRP’s Annual Conference.  By submitting an abstract, you can choose to enter the Jack Martin Award for best oral presentation, the Philip Nicholson Award for best poster presentation and the Rising Generation Group (RGG) award for best RGG oral presentation.  Each of these competitions awards a cash prize of £500.  The deadline to submit an abstract for next year’s Annual Conference is Monday 28 October 2024 for oral abstracts and Monday 24 February 2025 for poster abstracts.  Please note that the deadline is unlikely to be extended as we anticipate a high number of abstract submissions, so please do submit by the deadline date.

Young Professionals Award (YPA)
Submit an abstract about your research or something interesting that you can present on about radiation protection, and you could be in with a chance of winning £500 and an all expenses paid trip to the next European IRPA Congress where you will represent the UK in the European YPA competition.  The Congress will be a special one as SRP is hosting it from 1-5 June 2026 in Liverpool.  To enter you must be within the first 10 years of your radiation protection career and either be a member of SRP or one of our partner societies (AURPO, BIR, BNMS, IPEM, RCR, SCR).  Your presentation must be 8 minutes long.  If you're not a member and would like to enter, you can of course apply for membership, and don't forget that full-time students can get free membership!  Download the abstract form and send it to charlene.matthewman@srp-uk.org by 29 November 2024.
