Following the recent publication of the Second Edition of 'Airborne Radioactive Discharges and Human and Environmental Health Effects', this webinar will explore the various origins of Radioactive Discharges, how they move and interact in the environment and the basic considerations when modelling these the impacts. The talk will also touch on Environmental Monitoring Techniques and the Regulatory Framework surrounding the management of airborne discharges.
Pete Bryant is an experienced Radiation Protection and Environmental Professional with over 17 years experience working across the Nuclear Fuel Cycle. He is currently Director of ESG & Radiation Strategy for Sizewell C, a New Nuclear Build in the UK, where he leads on Sustainability, Radiation Protection, Decommissioning and Policy Engagement. Pete additionally holds a Professorship at the University of Liverpool in Radiation Protection Sciences and Nuclear Energy Policy, and is chair of the WNA RP Working Group.
Pete is a Past President of SRP and is currently the Chair of the Events Committee, and also sits on many other SRP Committees.
