SRP at Manchester Science Fair

SRP was at the Manchester Science Fair over the weekend (24th & 25th October) with our interactive stand. The public took part in live experiments such as discovering and measuring radioactivity in everyday objects and looking at radiation shielding from gamma ray photons through using a Nerf gun, different shields and shooting Nerf bullets at our willing SRP volunteers.
SRP would like to thank its amazing members Robyn Burge (Sellafield), Pete Cole (SRP President, University of Liverpool), Sarah Hunak (Amec Foster Wheeler), Madeleine Lees (Babcock International), Stephanie Slater (Independent RPA & RWA), Jordan Wain (Sellafield), Robert Wilson (Energy Simple), Mike Woods (University of Salford) and Liam Vormawah (University of Liverpool) for volunteering at the Manchester Science Fair for the SRP stand.
