Women in Radiation Protection at the Highest Level

At this morning's IRPA14 Plenary Session in Cape Town the Gold Medal for Radiation Protection was awarded to Ethel Gilbert of the National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics, MA, USA. The Gold Medal is awarded every four years by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and was presented by Claire Cousins, Chairman of ICRP (the nominating body).
