SRP members Jo Page and Peter Marsden, in collaboration with HSE, have developed guidance to augment that provided by HSE on the RADAN Safety Assessment Template for Administration of Radioactive Material to Persons/Animals. Whilst the guidance has been created in the context of a Nuclear Medicine Department carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with unsealed radioactive material, it is equally applicable to administrations using sealed sources in brachytherapy and, to a certain degree, to administrations to animals.  It will also be applicable, to a considerable degree, to radiopharmacies or any other organisations seeking consent for the addition of radioactive materials to products and may also be of interest to those seeking consent for the use of accelerators.
