Inside the Core - August 2019
Happy summer everyone! I hope you have been making the most of the British weather, I know it hasn’t been the warmest but there have been some beautiful days.
Mr H and I had a weekend away, while the kids were with their grandparents, to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. It was calming and we both needed the rest and change of scene. It meant we were ready for our family long summer holiday with the kids and we had 13 nights away in the tent before predicted bad weather meant we came home early. We were exploring round Shropshire and Herefordshire and had a fair few family days out to steam railways, museums and country houses and numerous BBQs.
Back to reality and a week at work has almost made me forget that I was ever on holiday at all. Thank goodness for the August bank holiday, a final chill out before the end of the summer and the dreaded back to school. At least the house might actually stay tidy once Mr H and the girls are out at school most of the day.
SRP business tends to go quiet over the summer, but September brings the Engagement Directorate Board meeting and then SRP Council. I have also committed to a joint blog with my fellow directors. This is something a bit different and is a suggestion which came from the committee engagement day in June. So make sure you read the blog next month to hear from my fellow directors.
Short and sweet this month but it is summer after all.
You can get in touch on the usual details.
